By this time of the year the majority of the major summer projects are completed. The outside wall along 53rd Avenue and 9th Street inside and out have been repainted, the north and west side of the clubhouse along with the portico have also been painted, the paving is complete, and the palm trees are trimmed. Those are just a few of many projects completed.
There have been no major storms or hurricanes yet which is very good for us. Peak hurricane season begins around September 10th. Keep your fingers crossed that we do not get any. We have had some heavy lightning and some of your homes may have experienced power outages. Check your circuit breakers.
This year and in early 2023 we will be taking pictures of our residents for a pictorial. The last time pictures were taken was in 2016, and there have been a lot of changes in our residents. The pictures will be scheduled on the following dates: November 25 and 26, 2022; December 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2022; and January 2,3 and 4 and February 9, 10, and 11 in 2023. You will be setting your appointment for the morning or afternoons sessions. I will have the times at a later date. There is no charge for taking your picture. I am encouraging every resident to have their picture taken. We all enjoy each copy of the pictorial. Sandy Ramey has worked hard to get this set up. Thank You Sandy. This is something that we have been trying to schedule for the last four years. With the Covid closures and business closings and mergers, we could not find a vendor until now.
As some of our northern residents return for the winter season during the month of September, we wish them a safe journey. When you arrive, take some time to ride around the park and see all that has changed and improved this summer. Nancy and I look forward to seeing you all.
