2021 is drawing to a close at the end of this month and that is hard to believe. Many of our winter residents have returned and this promises to be a full month of functions, meetings, and fun activities. One of those many activities is the Communications Meeting on December 6th at 7:00 PM. All Rupp, co-chairman of the Finance Committee, will talk about the budget and the increase. He will answer any questions residents ask whether attending in person or on zoom. Those persons watching on our in house channel 732 (if available) will not have an opportunity to speak and ask questions.
All activities are listed in the Banner on the calendar. If you are responsible for any activity and have not given that information to the Banner Committee you are urged to do so soon.
Every year there are 3 openings on the Board of Directors. If you are interested in running for one of these positions, get an application from the office, fill it out, add a 1-page resume and turn in to the office by the 29th of December.
If you are a new resident that moved into Golf Lakes during 2020 and 2021 and did not attend the New Resident Orientation in November, please attend the meeting on the 15th of December at 10:00 AM to noon. This meeting will give you some insight into why we have the rules and other things do not know.
Golf Lakes is based on volunteering. If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, see the co-chair of that committee. All our committees and their members are listed in our phone directory. If we do not get volunteers to fill the open positions, some of these committees may go away and that is not good for Golf Lakes.
My wife and I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy this winter.
